Drobmash presented a new bucket wheel excavator KRE-400 that when used in the flow-conveyor method of open-pit mining will increase the productivity of quarries by 50% and reduce the cost of raw material extraction by up to 30%. The mobile bucket wheel excavator allows for continuous mining, moving parallel to the conveyor line where the material is shipped via the PLM 400 mobile loader. The electric drive of all systems allows the KRE-400 to operate in the harsh conditions of northern latitudes and Siberia. The crawler chassis drive reaches speeds of up to 6 km/h. The total power at full load is 140 kW.
